Ormond Art Studios is delighted to announce our Ten Year Anniversary exhibition, “In The Making”! Join us on the 28th of November from 6pm in the beautiful Dublin Civic Trust Building at 18 Ormond Quay for the launch!

The show is a celebration of the work that has been produced within the studio, past and present. We, the members, thought it was important to take a moment to look back and appreciate those who have been a part of this space, from its founding ten years ago, and in the various steps throughout the years that have brought us to where we are now.

The showcased work is by current studio members, whose wide range of practices reflect the varied nature of a space like Ormond, and its history of providing a platform for work across multiple fine art disciplines. The show looks to catch a glimpse of the studio in its current iteration, and ultimately, looks forward with high hopes for the future of Ormond, hoping to continue to provide a base for emerging artists in Dublin to grow their practices.

The show will be open daily until the 1st of December. We hope to see you all there!

Ormond Studios is an artist-led initiative in Dublin city and is a platform for emerging visual artists. It supports the development of arts practice through affordable studio provision, critical discourse and space for events, residencies and exhibitions. The physical studios consists of eight individual artist's spaces along with a separate area that serves as the Project Space. The Project Space offers scope for work on a larger scale, embodied practice and experimentation. It is in this space that feedback sessions, events and exhibitions happen. We believe that critical discourse is hugely beneficial to developing a professional arts practice and essential to a dynamic arts community. Ormond Studios encourages members to open up their practise to peer critique and facilitates lively feedback sessions, residencies, and information/skills sharing initiatives. We believe in collaboration and connect with other creative initiatives to develop a network of support for artist‐led endeavours in Dublin and beyond.
