LINK Culturefest
“Between the 25th and the 27th of May 2012 LINK CULTUREFEST will host a series of events for the public, participating artists and curators. The three day programme will feature Art Exhibitions, Live Concerts, Screenings, Performances and Open Studios with guided tour. This year’s festival will bring together a number of creative enterprises located between Stoneybatter and Capel St. and includes over 100 participating artists. The festival will be hosted in up to 20 different buildings around these areas, encompassing the gallery and studio spaces of participating organisations, as well as breathing life into a number of vacant properties.”
ORMOND STUDIOS were involved in LINK Culturefest in a number of ways including:
- hosting an International Artist Exchange
- holding an Open Studio Day
- Ormond Studio members are also exhibiting work in international group shows in the exciting Block B space off Smithfield Square.

EXHIBITION OPENINGS
6-9pm Friday 25th May in Block B
LINKED will be an astonishing group exhibition in a large vacant space. It will showcase artworks of numerous Irish artists and of the invited artists from Marseille and Lisbon.
This group exhibition of 11 Marseille, 9 Lisbon and over 60 Dublin based artists will include work by Ormond Studio members:

Mary-Jo Gilligan
Martina McDonald
Ciara O’Hara
and
KEEP US POSTED
A group exhibition of very affordable postcard size artworks (4 x 6 inches = 10 x 15 centimeters).
The intention is to make the opening truly exciting for everybody. These artworks will be made by artists from Marseille and Lisbon and Dublin based artists from the studio spaces participating to LINK Culturefest.
They will be a set price and sales from these artworks will go towards the production costs of the LINK Culturefest.
Both exhibitions share their openings with the LINK Culturefest official launch.
