Claire is a Dublin based artist and member of Ormond Studios. Her practice explores the interdisciplinary area of art and technology. Her research explores computational creativity and new aesthetics within contemporary art. Claire works in the Technology Department in the Faculty of Art& Design in the Institute of Art, Design and Technology.
A graduate of IADT, Claire holds a Higher Certificate in Audio Visual Media Technology, a Bachelor of Engineering in Digital Media Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art Practice and is currently studying Master of Art in Art in the Contemporary world at National College of Art and Design. Claire works predominantly in video and electronics but her practice also also includes coding, photography and screen print. Her current work focuses on the interaction between human and machine perception. She is a mentor at the South West Inner City Clubhouse where she teaches students a mix of electronics, art and programming which gives them the experience of creating within a Maker space and Fabrication Lab environment.
